Cestra Primary is a sterile, low
adherent wound contact layer used as an interface layer to prevent absorbent
secondary dressings adhering to the wound. Manufactured from knitted viscose,
Cestra Primary conforms fully to the British Pharmacopoeia (BP) monograph. It
is particularly indicated for use on highly exuding chronic wounds such as leg
ulcers and especially with multilayer bandage systems.
Cestra Primary is larger than most
knitted viscose dressings, measuring 12.5 x 14.5cm. This larger size allows for
coverage for 93% of all wounds*, which is more convenient and cost effective as
one dressing is easier to hold in place rather than two smaller dressings. Cestra
Primary is highly conformable and can remain in-situ when the secondary
dressing is changed.
